First Tee Time is 9:00 AM both days at Kennedy Golf Course Babe/Creek

ELIGIBILITY

Each team member must be a regular club member and have played in at least three club tournaments in the last 12 months and have a USGA/CGA handicap. The purpose of the Denver Cup tradition is to represent each men's club and enjoy the camaraderie with other clubs.

Current USGA (CGA) handicaps will be used for qualifying. The September 1st USGA/CGA handicap revisions will be the "Official" handicap listing for each club. Please send a copy of your club's September 1, 2026 CGA/GHIN handicap revision report and team entries to twood@networkadjusters.com no later than 9/11/2026.

Fee breakdown: ($220 per player)

Two days of weekend greens fees - $120.00 per player. Tournament prize entry fee - $100.00 per player.

FORMAT

Each club shall field a team consisting of 16 players.

There is no adjustment of scores for handicap.

The lowest 3 scores are counted for each 'A' and 'B' teams. Both best ball team scores are counted for each 'C' team. Both scramble team scores are counted for each 'D' team.

TEE BOXES

We are not using senior tees this year.

TEAM ROSTERS

Clubs may field up to 32 players for the competition (16 players per day).

Substitutions for injury or illness are permitted, providing the Tournament Committee receives:

Please include your team roster, and a copy of your club's September 1, 2026, revision

CGA/GHIN handicap report. Final roster due by September 14, 2026. You can directly input your rosters and GHIN information into our system at denvercup.kennedymensclub.com. Each club will be provided with a username and password to maintain their roster and flight assignments.

TROPHY

The Denver Cup Champion club shall be presented the Denver Cup trophy, have their club name engraved on it and retain it on display for one year.

TIES

In the event of a tie for first place:

1st Tie Breaker - Team's fourth "A" flight player's score from Sunday will be added to the Team scores.

2nd Tie Breaker - Team's fourth "B" flight player's score from Sunday will be added to the Team scores.

3rd Tie Breaker - Team's fourth "A" flight player's score from Saturday will be added to the Team scores.

4th Tie Breaker - Team's fourth "B" flight player's score from Saturday will be added to the Team scores.

5th Tie Breaker - Best Sunday Team score, back nine.

6th Tie Breaker - Best Sunday Team score, last 6 holes.

7th Tie Breaker - Best Sunday Team score, last 3 holes.

INCLEMENT WEATHER

In the event that weather forbids play on either day, the Tournament Director and a representative of the course shall meet to determine a course of action.

LOCAL RULES

Kennedy Men’s Club Local Rules for this event are (will be) provided on a separate page. Players are deemed to have read and understood these Local Rules. Questions regarding the Local Rules shall be directed to KMC Tournament Committee.

SCORING

Scoring will be done on tournament scoresheets that will be posted in the Kennedy Restaurant. We will be using our KMC scoring system with live scoring as long as one person from each group posts the scores using their phone. denvercup.kennedymensclub.com Players will use their last name and GHIN to login to enter scores. The score cards will be available under Todays Score Card from the menu. If on a phone access the menu by hitting the button with the three horizontal lines in the top right of the page. Paper score cards will be provided to each foursome as well. For players assigned to the Bronze/Gold tees, the online score card as well as the paper score card will show the correct tee to play on each hole.

Please make sure that your AB&C players are posting their scores after each round as a competition score.

STARTING TIMES

Players shall start at the time indicated on the pairing sheet. A player arriving late, but ready to play within 5 minutes after his starting time, shall be assessed a two-stroke penalty, which will apply to his individual score (A and B players). A "C" or "D" player arriving late will be allowed to join his partner, but holes already completed will count as played by the lone player, without benefit of two balls in play. Substitutions may be allowed, as long as handicaps are verified and fall within the limits for flights. Players shall play in the group assigned.
